As a commercial photographer myself, I understand the importance of a tightly ran ship and respect the opportunity to work on set no matter the role. I have personally trained numerous interns on assisting. I also always come prepared, maintain a positive attitude, and will anticipate needs well in advance.
Capable of arriving with my own computer loaded with all software needed, fluent in MAC OSX, Capture One, Carbon Copy Cloner, Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, RAID, and an expert in duplicating and triplicating blocks of data quickly and efficiently. Impeccable at data organization, file labeling, and computer troubleshooting.
Assisting kit includes:
Leatherman, allen key set, tape measure, pocket knife, CF card reader,
black gaffers tape, AA & AAA batteries, flashlight, silk/microfiber cloth to clean lenses, sharpie, grip-gloves, C-47s/ large & small A-clamps, 2-3 plastic trash bags, color checker, lint roller, Blue Goo modeling clay, velcro cable-ties, band-aids, Ibuprofen/aspirin, Tums, bandana, gel collection, ziplock bags, multi-outlet, adapters, tethering cables, iPhone Apps (Google Earth & Google Maps, Sun Seeker, Photosynth. Capture Pilot, Phocus for iOS, Dark Sky).
Need rental equipment? I own 10 Profoto strobes, lots of speed lights, PocketWizards, plenty of grip tools and cables, and a few Apple workstations loaded with Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One Pro. I also have a 2800 sq/ft commercial studio in the heart of downtown Columbus.
