References as assistant / Career
I never went to art or photo school; I am completely self-taught. I first worked in the equipment room of Industria Super Studios in lower Manhattan which led to many freelance assisting jobs with notable photographers such as Steven Klein, Albert Watson, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Peter Lindbergh, Nadav Kander, Mary-Ellen Mark, Wayne Maser, Mario Sorrenti, Frank Ockenfels III and many others. I was full-time second, then first assistant to Rolling Stone chief photographer, Mark Seliger for 15 months and full-time first assistant to Annie Leibovitz for two years.
